A cookie fit for Valentine’s. 💕 Half-n-Half W A cookie fit for Valentine’s. 💕 Half-n-Half White Chocolate Raspberry! A buttery, delicious cookie with excellent flavor: the white chocolate and raspberry shine in each bite. I use freeze dried raspberries for vibrant color and fruitiness.

❤️ new: Peanut Butter Crunch Brownies! Peanut ❤️ new: Peanut Butter Crunch Brownies! Peanut butter and chocolate go together like eggs and bacon, macaroni and cheese, coffee and doughnuts; maybe even Romeo and Juliet. It’s a favorite combination, and the perfect way to celebrate any holiday, but especially in a heart shape (I just used a heart shaped pan!) for Valentine’s Day. 💕

The layers are comprised of My Favorite Brownie recipe as the base, a creamy peanut butter filling with cacoa nibs for crunch, and a smooth, glossy chocolate ganache. The cacao nibs add both a bitter note that offsets the sweetness and richness of the chocolate and peanut butter, and a much-needed crunch.

💕 White Cake with Roasted Berries and White Cho 💕 White Cake with Roasted Berries and White Chocolate Buttercream! This cake is incredibly moist from creme fraiche (or sour cream), and has a lovely vanilla flavor that pairs beautifully with the layers of jammy, roasted berries. I like to make this around Valentine’s Day, and decorate with dried roses. 💕

I am very excited to announce that my 4th cookbook, 100 Morning Treats, is now available for pre-order (link in my profile)! 🎉This book is a collection of muffins, scones, quick breads, Bundt and coffee cakes, yeasted treats, laminated doughs, and for the first time ever in one of my books, some savory baked goods. 
 
I wanted to write a cookbook that reflected my time working and baking in coffee houses. I have so much nostalgia for late 90’s/early 2000’s coffee shops after spending much of my 20’s and 30’s in one somehow: studying, writing poetry (yes, the poems were terrible), talking with friends, working the bar, and eventually baking. I still dream of one day having a little neighborhood shop that creates the same community I experienced, but in the meantime, this cookbook is way to capture it all at home, containing recipes I made or would have made at places I worked. 
 
Some favorite pastry recipes from this book include my new and improved Blueberry Muffins, Lemon Meringue Bread, Chocolate Pudding Bundt Cake, Everything Breakfast Pretzels, Creamy Jammy Coffee Cakes, Toasted Sesame Sweet Buns, and Cherry Rhubarb Streusel Buns. I also have been making on rotation the Overnight Crème Fraiche Waffles, Southwest Turkey Breakfast Sandwiches, Sheet Pan Breakfast, Peanut Butter Granola Bark, and the Sesame Chocolate Rye Breakfast Cookies.

I’m sharing my recipe + a few more variations for you; lime, grapefruit, and lemon lavender! I leave out the zest for a smooth, not-too-tart curd, but you can add some to ramp up the flavor. ⭐️ Day 24 of 24: Rolo Turtles! Yes, they aren’t technically cookies, but at this point in our holiday baking schedules easy is the answer. I make these every year to put in my #holidaycookie boxes, and I always get requests for the recipe. They consist of a pretzel, a Rolo, and a toasted pecan. Directions are on the back of every Rolo bag. If you don’t do nuts, just sandwich another pretzel on top. You can hear @jessiesheehanbakes and I talk about our love for them on her @cherrybombe podcast miniseries. (link in profile)

Day 23 of 24; Twist Shortbread! Or chocolate, or v Day 23 of 24; Twist Shortbread! Or chocolate, or vanilla. ❤️ The “twist” cookie is the combination of flavors; I sliced each log in half and then mixed and match for a fun, but also tasty, cookie. My kids preferred this version, but I always pick straight chocolate or vanilla. 

This cookie seems so simple at a glance, but has great flavor (use a cocoa powder you love!) and sugar-y edges that are both beautiful and delicious.
