					<description><![CDATA[<p>I have been getting a lot of messages asking about the availability of both my cookbooks &#8211; they are showing up OUT OF STOCK almost everywhere. Many of you have purchased my books this past month and once again I am shouting from the rooftops THANK YOU!! Thank you so much for your support of my blog, books, and recipes the last 10 years. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. So, GOOD NEWS: re-printing is happening! 100 Cookies&#160;has been reprinted again and there are more copies coming in the next couple weeks. The Vanilla Bean Baking Book will be reprinted, and I will have more information on dates in the near future. SAD NEWS: Printing and shipping have both been slowed down across the country (and the world) due to COVID-19 and the fires; we will all have to practice patience and plan ahead as our goods will take longer to get to use over the next few months.&#160; The cookies above are my Pan-Banging Chocolate Chip Cookies, a recipe featured in both books, and you can also find it here.&#160;</p>

					<description><![CDATA[<p>(screen shot from my iphone) I&#8217;m still in shock, after seeing this write up in the New York Times about my chocolate chip cookies. I&#8217;ve had a lot of questions for the recipe and about the recipe, so I&#8217;m popping in to say that I am working on a post or two that will answer questions and help troubleshoot any issues. I&#8217;m hoping there will also be a video involved, as I&#8217;ve also had  lot of curiosity about the correct way to &#8216;pan-bang&#8217;. In the meantime, if you are here looking for the recipe, you can find it here! I do have several other chocolate chip recipes on my site, but those are not the cookies you are looking for. 					<description><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s finally time: The Vanilla Bean Baking Book is available for pre-order! This cookbook is brimming with over 100 baking recipes and nearly 200 photos; everything from Mixed Berry Muffins and Creme Fraiche Scones to Ganache Cupcakes with Basil Buttercream and Cherry-Strawberry Slab Pie. It can be purchased early now, and will be sent out or available on bookstore shelves November 8th. This also happens to be Election Day, so depending on whether your candidate wins or loses, you could find it useful for either comfort baking or celebrating. I&#8217;m hoping to celebrate, with my Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream (found in the Party Cakes chapter). I spent almost two years working on this book. When Avery approached me, I had never taken on a project this big before, or one with multiple deadlines. It required figuring out how to balance both work and home life, which was quite a challenge initially. My work space, the kitchen, is the center of our home, and a place that is needed for more than just recipe testing.
