This cake was delicious and visually beautiful. A wonderful late spring cake! I needed to add an extra 9 minutes to the bake time, it was still under cooked after 18 mins.

When I need to flip out a sheet pan cake I put a piece of parchment on top and then another sheet pan flipped or you could use a cutting board – anything flat to support the cake. Flip and slowly peel off the bottom parchment.

I had a similarly cheesy introduction to Sunny Day Real Estate- I was on a week-long retreat in the mountains with my cross country team one summer in high school, and this moody boy from school happened to be there at the same time. He lent me a CD and I spent the week listening to it on my walkman and crushing on him. Different ending- nothing happened between us, but I certainly remember the intense emotions evoked by that music. It was pretty much made for angsty teenage me.
