If I wanted to make a two layered 9 inch cake with the chocolate cake, would I double or triple the recipe?

Would you say it’s one cake for two people for an average dessert? Is it possible to make.the fluff ahead and transport it? Can it be re-whipped?

In reply to Cary. Yes, the cake batter is liquid-y due to the hot coffee added at the end. It is supposed to be that way, and will bake up fine in that consistency.

Is the cake batter supposed to be on the runny side? I added some more flour at the end because I was afraid it wouldn’t bake properly.

In reply to Jayne. I haven't ever used golden syrup here, but I know many people make marshmallows with honey instead of corn syrup. I haven't tried it in this particular recipe, but I think that it could work. If you experiment with it, let me know how it turns out!

Question about the marshmallow layer. Would the recipe for the fluff still work if golden syrup is substituted for the corn syrup? I’m deathly allergic to corn and would love to try this recipe. Thanks 😀
