This was delicious!! Will definitely be keeping it in the holiday rotation. So straightforward and I was so pleased with how it turned out - as someone with a bad track record with crusts! I liked it even better cold as leftovers. Any tips on what to use the leftover streusel for? Thank you for the recipe!

Hi Colleen - Yes, 4 pears should be about 3 cups. And walnuts or a mix would work great! Let me know how it turns out for you.

I haven't tried this particular tart with apples. Apples can take much longer to bake than pears, and may need more or less sugar depending on the variety. But if you decide to experiment let me know how it turns out!
