I have been remiss in telling you how much I adore your recipes! My favorites (so far) on this list include: Neapolitan shortbread, pan-banging ginger molasses cookies (that hint of dark rum in the glaze, so good!), red velvet pan-banging cookies (so festive!), and chocolate cardamom cookies (sublime!). After trying your snickerdoodle bars recently, they will be on the list as well. I am eyeing the olive oil cookies with pistachios and lemon to try this season.

Ok, a bit more fan-girling from me: I want to thank you for all of your recipes and for teaching me new techniques, such as sheet banging. I also make several of your scones regularly and love how your technique adds layers of buttery lamination. Simply the best.

It can sometimes be found in the gluten-free flour section of the grocery store, otherwise, you can pulse hazelnuts in the food processor until fine and use that! Almond flour will also work, but won't have as much flavor.

Hi Sarah! I am hoping to make the thumbprint cookies from 100 Cookies for my holiday treat box this year, but am having trouble finding hazelnut flour (or even skinned hazelnuts). Is there an alternative that can be used in this recipe?
Thanks!

Hi Sarah! I’m hoping to make the thumbprint cookies from 100 Cookies for my holiday cookie box this year, but am having a really hard time finding hazelnut flour! Or skinned hazelnuts, for that matter, haha. Is there an alternative that can be used in this recipe? Would it be a bad idea to grind hazelnuts with the skins on? Thanks so much!
