Hi! I have a question. For the buttercream, you list granulated sugar. Did you mean confectioner’s sugar or do you really use granulated sugar?

It has been a tough year for many and when I often think about the crazy stuff that happens around me I have said we live in tough times. But if we look at history, it almost always been tough. Its a human condition is it, that we hurt one another? What it all means is a question that I have been tortured with but may never find an answer to. I try and do whatever little I can whenever I can and be thankful for whatever it is that I posses.

It has been a rough year (or years) in this world. And it all feels so much heavier because we have such instant access to what’s going on everywhere. Sometimes it makes me just want to shut down. But there is so much beauty out there… we just have to make more of an effort to look for it.

A hard transition… but this is one of those cakes that makes me go “I just want to devour the whole thing” The pairing is right up my alley. The ginger, the tart cranberries.
