Hello! You are correct, the lavender has been removed from the recipe. I just got the one mention in the copy and I have removed, thank you!

Am reading the updated recipe and lavender is not mentioned in the ingredient list nor instructions. It is in the copy and older comments. Was this part of the update? I'll be completely happy to skip it but thought it worth a mention. Loving your 100 Morning Treats book, currently on my nightstand (not yet in the kitchen) - it's gorgeous.

There is a problem with this recipe.
I made it last night and dough was a crumbly mess, not sticky as suggested.
Did not turn out,
Realized later that the wet to dry ingredients were off. Other scone recipes with approx the same flour, call for at least 1 cup of buttermilk or liquid and an egg. This one calls for 1/2 cup of creme fraiche and an egg. I tried making it again and added about 1/2 cup of milk and they turned out much better. Another person commented there was no lavender listed in the ing, so what else are we missing?

I finally made these scones and they were amazing. I love your folding method for making scones and I am a total convert. These have a nice berry flavor, the hint of lavender is perfect, and they are not very sweet, so you can taste the richness of the butter/crème fraiche.

I love your blog and I cannot wait to try these scones. One suggestion, can you make the recipes printer friendly? Or have some way to print them out.

Thanks and keep up the great work

Oh wow, these look like the ultimate berry scones! I've been making a version similar to these, with lemon instead of lavender, but that folding technique looks infinitely superior to mine, and the additions of lavender and crème fraîche? I'm obsessed!
