Could these be baked in an English muffin ring vs a fully enclosed tin? I love the idea of individual/round buns (vs square rolls baked together in a 9x13 pan), but curious if the filling would ooze out the bottom and become a big mess?! Lol

In reply to <a href="https://www.thevanillabeanblog.com/cinnamon-buns/comment-page-1/#comment-1709054">Karen</a>.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing this recipe. While I liked the brioche-like flavor, I thought the texture from the all purpose flour was not strong enough.

Will make another batch, but replacing with bread flour for its higher protein and gluten development from all the stretching, improving the rolls texture.

Thanks, again.

In reply to <a href="https://www.thevanillabeanblog.com/cinnamon-buns/comment-page-1/#comment-1591345">Jennifer</a>.

I agree in as much as a food blog is probably not the best place to hold a discussion about politics. But that's where my agreement with your post ends, Jennifer. And at the risk of blowing up this space, I just want to say that you should do more digging and actual fact-checking before you cite sources that are widely regarded and proven to be inaccurate and biased. Glenn Beck? Really? The man is a shock jock, nothing more. He is not a journalist and he has only a high school diploma. This hardly qualifies him to be a reliable news commentator. The Washington Times has been busted many times for publishing racist content and conspiracy theories that have ultimately been debunked. They also publish articles that directly contradict scientific evidence, most notably on the topic of global warming.
Forbes magazine published guidance on how to know what is a reliable news source and what is not. I pulled this quote from that article (the link is at the end of this post): "One key question for any publication is this: If a reporter gets facts in a story wrong, will the news outlet investigate a complaint and publish a correction? Does the publication have its own code of ethics? Or does it subscribe to and endorse the Society of Professional Journalists code of ethics? And if a reporter or editor seriously violates ethical codes - such as being a blatant or serial plagiarizer, fabulist or exaggerator - will they be fired at a given news outlet? While some may criticize mainstream media outlets for a variety of sins, top outlets such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, NBC News and the New Republic have fired journalists for such ethics violations. That is remarkable in a world where some celebrities, politicians and other realms of media (other than news... such as Hollywood films "based on a true story") can spread falsehood with impunity."

You are completely entitled to believe what you want, but spewing your personal bias and racist rants onto someone else's blog to do nothing but prove the owner of the blog wrong is not only inappropriate, it's flat-out rude. If you don't like Ms. Kieffer's politics, don't read her blog. Or if you like her recipes but not her politics, skip over the politics and jump to the recipe. This is her blog. If she wants to post funny cat videos or articles about Kanch? (Google it), that's her choice. She doesn't need to answer to you for one word of it.

The recipe sounds fabulous.
If I use silver foil Ramkins that have a 2 1/2 side, how long do I bake the rolls?
How many rolls will the batter make?
Thanks

I have been making cinnamon rolls for my family's breakfast on Christmas morning for many years, but had become disenchanted with the recipe I was using. I found your blog and decided to make these rolls for Christmas without testing out the recipe first. I started the rolls on Christmas Eve and finished them Christmas morning. What a delight. These rolls are soft, and light with just the right amount of filling and icing. This will be my go-to cinnamon roll recipe from now own.
