I made this dough using all weight measurements. It’s so crumbly and sandy that it won’t form a log – there’s no way to roll it in turbinado sugar. It’s currently in the fridge, and I’ll give it an hour to see where it’s at.

Hi, I really want these to work out, I even made my own candied orange peel last night! My question concerns the amount of flour listed. 2 cups (284 grams) is what is listed. 2 cups of all purpose flour is somewhere between 240-250 grams. So should I use 2 cups or 284 grams? Making this for our Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. BTW I’m also an Ella Fitzgerald fan, her version of ‘Summertime’ was supposed to be our wedding dance song.

Terrific recipe! I used candied orange pieces instead of candied orange peel and they turned out beautifully! One of these days I’ll try it with candied orange peel.

These are really tasty! I made mine square fur a different shape and because refrigerator cookies always seem to have a flat side. I love the flavors.
