Love these! I’ve made these for Valentine’s Day gifts the past three years and they always come out great. Love the addition of cocoa nibs for the unexpected yet utterly delightful extra little crunch. The chocolate dip is a hit for my chocolate-loving family and I add red and pink sprinkles to dress them up a bit. The 12-16 min bake time is too long for my oven; I’ve found that 10 min is my sweet spot to get the golden edges and a softer middle. Otherwise I make the recipe as written, and as others have noted, the dough is very easy to work with and re-roll. These are so good, thank you for a winner!

Hi Sarah,

I am planning to make this recipe for a holiday cookie exchange. The recipe calls for 4 cups of flour— that seems like a lot of flour for a batch of cookies. Just curious as to why so much flour.

I made these for Valentine's Day and just love them! I will definitely make them again. The dough was easy to work with. Dipping them in the bittersweet chocolate added just enough sweetness. They are delicious on their own without dipping too. Next up for me are the Cardamom Buns! I have three of your cookbooks and love your recipes. If only I could eat my way through them all, but instead, I share with family and friends. :)

Yet another winner (Sarah, you really are amazing!). I think there is something about the coconut oil that adds depth to the flavor,= and a crispness to the cookie. The use of the cocoa nibs is brilliant: chocolate flavor and crunch without extra sweetness. I agree with Meaghan that these cookies are as good plan as they are dipped in chocolate. You may start off thinking that the recipe makes too many But then you get eating them and going back for more and sharing a few and before you know it they are gone and you are making them again already!
