Do you have to refrigerate the dough after you make it or can you go right into making the rolls?

AMAZING! Hands down the best recipe I’ve tried and I’ve tried I don’t know how many cinnamon roll recipes over the last 5 years of my marriage (my husband’s favorite treat). Each one has had its own trials and errors. This recipe though is KILLER. I had to write it down so I’d always have it! Thank you!! Such a good way to use leftover buttermilk!

This recipe is a keeper! I just made these rolls this morning. I did not do the overnight rise of the dough and these rolls were fantastic without doing that. Do you always suggest the overnight in the fridge before baking? To tell you how impressed I was with this recipe, I ordered three of your cookbooks! Thank you for this lovely recipe, it will now be my favorite cinnamon roll recipe.

Lovely recipe. the dough is so soft and pillowy for my 5 year old daughter’s wiggley tooth hahaha the icing is so heavenly will be making these awesome rolls again!!!

Can someone try to describe the difference between this recipe and the original? I’m not sure I understand.

Also, can these be made mini like in the original?

I made this recipe last Saturday 02-22-2025, and can I just tell you that for my first attempt at making cinnamon rolls. This recipe was the one to follow for sure. Simple and easy directions, already had the ingredients, and loved the process.
They turned out amazing and I was so amazed at the ease and the flavor of creating something with pure ingrediants. This recipes beats any mass produce cinammon rolls on the market.
I’m going to make a full batch next time and I give this a 5 star rating.

These are perfect! I did a test run in November and my husband said they were the best cinnamon rolls he’s ever had! Then I made them again for a Christmas party and they were an absolute hit! I made them again Christmas morning and they were gone within minutes!

I’m working on another batch to see how they freeze. If anyone had any tips for that, please let me know! My current plan is to keep the dough sitting in the refrigerator and I’ll roll them tomorrow and then freeze them.

I made these yesterday and while they’re good, your original recipe is MUCH better. I found these to be dry and too sweet. But the original recipe is the holy grail of cinnamon rolls. Thank you!!

is the full cook time 27-32 mins? or is that the halfway point at which you turn them? thanks =]
