{silent sunday} a day at the orchard

Sunday, September 30, 2012
We spent the day at the apple orchard, picking apples and pumpkins, riding tractors and eating apple-y treats. There were rows of trees and wide open patches to run through and in, goats to feed and pet, piles of hay to jump in and destroy, and then, there were Grandpa’s arms to tumble into when little feet were just too tired to walk another step.

That sounds like a quintessential fall day, and the pictures seem to capture it perfectly. Especially like the black and white pic with the doll 🙂

You know what I love about this? Well, this, and everything really, and the pictures of your beautiful youngsters on instagram? I feel like I get to wish them luck and joy and grace and happiness and fortitude for all they are about to journey in their lives. We’re all silently back here rooting them on. Every time I see them in your photos I am reminded of my own childhood bliss and total awareness to all that is truly good. Thank you for sharing their light.
